Approximately 90 hectares of vineyard are flourishing
on an up to six meter thick loess/loam layer, which is on
top of massive granit and syenit rocks. In particular our
white wines uniquely reflect the terroir of our Proschwit-
zer vineyards with their intense fruitiness and mineraltiy
at the finish. Saxony is one of the smallest wine growing
regions in Germany and has the lowest average harvest
